About

With more than 30 years of experience in education and autism, I bring a unique perspective that combines policy, practice, and real-life experience. I began my career as a special education teacher and later served as a faculty member at institutions including Columbia University’s Teachers College, Hunter College, and Ramapo College, where I taught courses on education policy and systems.

Over time, my work expanded beyond the classroom. I became a national writer on education and autism, with publications in outlets such as The AtlanticUSA Today, and Edutopia, helping families and professionals better understand the systems that shape outcomes for autistic individuals.

I am also the founder of Autism College Connection, where I guide families through one of the most challenging transitions: life after high school. Through consulting, resources, and education, I help parents understand options for college, employment, and independent living—and how to build a realistic, successful path forward.

Most importantly, I do this work as a parent. As an autism mom, I understand firsthand how overwhelming and confusing this journey can be. My goal is to reduce that learning curve—providing clear, practical guidance so families can move forward with confidence, not confusion.

Whether you are navigating an early diagnosis, struggling with school systems, or planning for adulthood, I offer trusted, experience-based support to help you make informed decisions at every stage.
